I threw this out to the hubby says it probably is spring loaded and sometimes .. ok here comes the technical part -- it just gets kinda fused to itself from the heat and the friction. He didn't add any more than Libby did. Could be the line is the wrong size too -- probably have to google the right size if it's anything other 060. Keep trying?? Those things are very frustrating! There was a big bulbous thing in the center of the unit and you had to bump that flat on the ground. Never worked really well but that is how it was supposed to work. Otherwise, hold in on it and pull on the string with tweezers or needlenose pliers. The string will feed out a few inches at a time. Then depress again and repeat. Or hire some kid to do it! It has to be put in the spool....and I'm not doing something right. I managed to get it loaded. And used it some but then the string wore off I guess...cuz when I flipped it over there wasn't any string coming out. Maybe I'm making it too hard. Getting another isn't an option. I just need to get this one up and running again. LuAnn ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG.
