- It appears that the DNR puts on a ride every year as well. The 2009 ride is June 22-26th. It appears that they stretch the ride out over five days. The cost for last year's ride was $250. I believe that this covered meals and camping locations. By looking at the pictures, it appears that they also hauled gear from point to point. I can't think of a better way to spend a few days in the middle of the summer. This even usually has 300 riders. I wonder how many we can convert to Geocaching?? This may be the way to go... still plenty of time to pull off of the trail to grab some caches. Gary Braman Senior Technical Consultant focusIT, Inc. 8655 E. But we never got together to plan it. So I would be interested. The way we had talked and thought about doing it was shuttling vehicles from stop to stop. That way you would not have to be carrying all that gear with you on the bike. You could also do some car caching.
