I do not know of any way to compile it to Magellen (As the saying goes, get
a garmin or get lost)

It takes Garmin's mapsource to view the files (after you install them).

Other than that, you can download the freeware program I create the maps
with at:

http://www.geopainting.com/en/#last

After you install the program, you can download one of my maps at:

http://mapcenter.cgpsmapper.com/maplist.php?author=4216

Download the build source file

You can then open the file in the freeware program (GPSMapedit). If you
don't see anything, use CTRL 0 to show all the lines and points. You can
drag and drop a pocket query on GPSMAPEDIT and it will show the trails and
caches. I guess that could be useful.

GPSMAPEDIT also has some things you can export to like OZiexplorer. You can
also use that to create a BMP that you can print.

Or if you are interested in a particular area, I can likely provide a GPX
file.
