Congratulations Matt and welcome to the wonderful hobby (sport, obsession) that
is geocaching. Your first cache is always memorable. However if you keep up
with the hobby you will be making many many more memories to go along with it.
I too highly recommend going to an event and meeting your fellow cachers. You
will make some great friends and have caching buddies to call when you need
help on a harder cache or just someone who might like to walk along with you.

We just went out and found our first cache! It was GC18DZT and is in a
beautiful little park in Swansea Illinois. I forgot how to enter the
second waypoint into my GPS when we got there so it took a while to
find the second part but we finally got it. If I wasn't on call this
weekend we would be out doing this all day!
