Seems to me, if you were attaching a magnetic cache to the sign itself you
aren’t doing any of these things. Just one woman’s opinion...

Many traffic signs in Kirkwood now have a sticker that reads: Warning It is
unlawful to remove, alter, or deface this traffic control device. City of
Kirkwood Sign Shop.
Taking the most conservative interpretation, I won't be placing a cache on a
sign in Kirkwood until I learn more about this law. Does anyone know more
about this? Has anyone had a LEO encounter re: a geocache and a traffic sign?
