No, it was not selected. When I do select it, then manual rotation is
allowed. I understand
that this is intended to allow Geeqie to rotate the file automatically based
upon the EXIF
settings, but I'm curious as to why manual rotation is not allowed when it is
off?
The process of displaying image rotation is a bit complex, and is described
(in an admittedly complex way) here:
I was never aware of this setting so it must have been set on for a long timeAt the time I moved the option to the status bar, I was scanning old slides.
and then
turned off at some point. The status seems to be remembered between
invocations.
What can I do to force it to always be on? In the
~.config/geeqie/geeqierc.xml file there is
the line:
This option used to be hidden away in Edit/Preferences.
I tried setting this to true, but even so, if the option is turned off and
Geeqie exited, it
remembers the off position and restores that later. Any way to make this
permanent?
It cannot be permanently disabled, but you can remove the icon from the
status bar via Edit/Preferences/Toolbar Status.
