Hello.

As your mother language seens to be spanish, I recomend you look at
Conectiva Linux. It's a brazilian distribution but with a great support 
for spanish. You can can select several instalations profiles include a 
minimal one with just the... hmmm... minimal :) to make it run and from 
them install the rest as you see fit.
It's lastest version is 10 and there's torrents around so you can 
download it easily. It's a 3 CD set but just the cd 1 is enough to have 
a full installed desktop.
