Hello All,
You may be already aware of the moves by the govt. of Kerala to
sign an MOU with microsoft for setting up training facility for school
teachers.
The IT@school authorities are clearly trying to get MS into schools,
reason for that we can only guess.
What we need to convey to the government is that there are plenty of
people who are willing to provide GNU/Linux training to school teachers
for a
reasonable fee.
All the private institutions who can provide elementary GNU/Linux
training (accoring to 8th & 9th syllabus) should write letters to the
1. chief minister
2. education minister
3. Leader of opposition who is opposing the MOU
4. IT@school director Other officials related to it
The subscribers of this list are requested to convey the message to
such institutions in their city and strongly request them to send such
letters.
The letter may also mention the cost of giving training to one school
teacher , probably be for a one month course.
Let us try to counter the false propaganda by IT@school regarding the
availability of GNU/Linux training.
