I am very happy to see that a remarkable number of people have joined
the initiative (33 currently, although more than double wrote to the
mail and may subscribe in the coming days). But we must aspire to bring
together many more people who are unaware of the existence of this
initiative.
As I commented in my previous writings, it is possible that Free
Software Force will in the medium term have to become the Free Software
Foundation that it should be but is not. But the best thing would be to
bring the Free Software Foundation back to the Free Software Foundation
it should be. I think it would not be coherent for us to support another
president because it would be renouncing our unrenounceable claim and
would mean legitimizing Richard's departure for unjustified reasons.
Let me not be misunderstood, I am glad to see the enthusiasm expressed
by people like Emilio, a vitality that we will need in the long road
ahead, but I think that right now devoting our time and energy to
organize a Free Software Force as a reference organization of free
software, diverts our attention to the line of action that we must
deploy now: Spread the announcement ( https://fsforce.noblogs.org ;).
That nobody who might be interested, is not because of ignorance that
exists: that each person sends the corresponding email or message to
your friends and colleagues, publishes it on the websites that each
person can. That nobody who has supported (actively or passively) the
campaign against Richard Stallman is without the replica of those who
support him: send the corresponding mail or message to all websites that
published messages against the permanence of Richard Stallman as a
disseminator of free software, also to those who remain silent about his
persecution, write to sfconservancy (
https://sfconservancy.org/about/board/ ;), the associated software
projects ( https://sfconservancy.org/projects/current/ ;), the GNOME
Foundation, and the Free Software Foundation (
https://www.fsf.org/about/staff-and-board ;). I am concerned about the
paucity of news/feedback regarding the development by each person of
this currently priority course of action.

Estoy muy contento de ver que un notable número de personas os habéis
sumado a la iniciativa (33 actualmente, aunque más del doble escribieron
al correo y pueden que se suscriban en los próximos días). Pero debemos
aspirar a reunir a mucha más personas que desconocen de la existencia de
esta iniciativa.
Como comenté en mis escritos anteriores, es posible que Free Software
Force tenga a medio plazo que convertirse en la Free Software Foundation
que debería ser pero no es. Pero la mejor cosa sería lograr reconducir a
la Free Software Foundation a la Free Software Foundation que debe ser.
Lo cual tengo claro que pasa por la restitución formal y moral de
Richard Stallman, creo que no sería coherente que apoyásemos a otro
presidente porque sería renunciar a nuestra irrenunciable reivindicación
y supondría legitimar la salida de Richard por motivos injustificados.
Que no se me malinterprete, me alegra ver el entusiasmo expresado por
personas como Emilio, una vitalidad que necesitaremos en el largo camino
por delante, pero creo que ahora mismo dedicar nuestro tiempo y energía
a organizar una Free Software Force como organización referente del
software libre, desvía nuestra atención hacia la línea de actuación que
debemos desplegar ahora: Difundir el comunicado (

lo esté por desconocimiento de que existe: que cada persona envíe el
correspondiente correo o mensaje a tus amigos y compañeros, lo publique

quien sí le apoya: envíale el correspondiente correo o mensaje a todos
los sitios web que publicaron mensajes contra la permanencia de Richard
Stallman como divulgador de software libre, también a quienes callan

I believe that our first and main attempt should be, instead of a fork, to
try to do propaganda inside (and outside) the FSF about having back Stallman,
or if this doesn't work, try to convince them to choose the new president
according the original principle of FSF, selected for their technical and
ethical merits (purely referred to the free software) instead of some sort of
racial, gender and national point of view (1).
To be totally clear, I'm not against those noble ideals, which I embrace
totally, but the Foundation needs a strong and recognized leader (like RMS),
and limiting the research field to those that belong to a restricted category
risks to weaken the whole organisation.
I'm of the idea that we need to focus our effort to improve the existing FSF
instead of creating an unnecessary fork.

there @elp). It would make things easier to schedule a meeting on UTC
time. Until a new proper place could be used. So we can see how many we
are and where are we located, our talents and what contribution can each

Stallman should be aware this fork exists.
While I think this is of crucial importance, he has stated that he
remains as head of the GNU project which is great, but I'd like to hear
his opinion about us, maybe some guidance too, and if given the case a
'blessing of sorts'.
*I volunteer* for writing which is what I mostly do, and we have all the
information already layed out. My question is: Are we the FSF that ought
to have been? In that case we should by country start evangelizing as
Stallman would have. But baby steps are required.
In any case, I hope meeting you all if you agree, at the #fsforce on
freenode.
