Here is a list of F.O.B. prices for electronic scrap in San Francisco, 20,000 lbs. per 53' container. Don't know whether the scrap is recycled in the U.S. or overseas. Don't know whether these are standard prices, a sweetheart deal or what. Info received from anonymous source.

CRTs $/lb
1. monitor and television CRTs: $0.22

CPU Components $/lb
1. high value electronics (?): $1.00
2. circuit boards: $0.90
3. cpu: $0.16
4. memory: $2.00

Metal $/lb
1. hard drives: $0.30
2. floppy drives $0.16
3. wire, no plugs or connectors: $0.60
4. wire, with plugs and connectors: $0.30
5. computer ribbon cable: $0.10
6. cable ends: $0.15
7. tin and other ferrous scrap: $0.00

In speaking to scrap vendors, we can use this breakdown and pricing to judge the deal.
