Would somebody review the mailing list and find out which modems work with VL 5.8?
Since we plan to distribute 60 boxes via the Perley School PTA, it would be a good idea to follow through on the dialup modem issue, pick a modem to test (again) and purchase enough to cover the project. We can charge recipients our cost for the modems, or we can ask the Perley PTA to organize a fund raiser to pay for dialup modems.
Tania, whose kids go to Perley, signed up for NetZero and tried to connect her FreeBox to the Internet. She failed of course. NetZero charges $25 to cancel a contract. Modems cost less than the NetZero cancellation fee.
I called the Perley PTA coordinator and left another message requesting a meeting to follow up the Fun Fair.
