Damn, I also forgot that the Facebook page also provides the code for us to add a Facebook Like button to the Free Geek web page, so whoever is in charge of the web page send me a private email and I'll provide you with the code to add. Secondly, just to secure it, I've also created a Google FGM group. Not wanting to spread ourselves too thin, I know, but figured it'd be best to go ahead and set it up. This might also help our exposure to the local community and get more people interested. Never underestimate the power of social networking, be it physical or the now-popular virtual kind. Hopefully, the warehouse will be open this Thursday so we can install the repo server. Now that Tom and I know how to change the settings for transferring it to the warehouse, we can also add it as a source to any volunteer who brings in their box. I know we need to work on cleaning up the aisles. I'll also start bringing my camera (or I can use the one on my cell phone, it's 5 MP, main camera is 12 MP) to take new pictures for upload to the sites. Again, these can always be edited. The group page can even receive emails at the above address. I'm currently the only administrator for it, but I can more as necessary. Still need an image to set as the profile image, but that can wait until Thursday. It's up, some basic info has been added. It can be updated as necessary, too. I've got no problem with doing this and maintaining the Facebook group. Having a group on Facebook might help draw in volunteers or other interested parties, and since a lot of businesses and other groups, including non-profits, have pages/profiles/groups on there.
