We don’t use telemarketing for asking for donations. We use it for our sales of
services (financial courses), to the lists of schools we get from Misrad
Hachinuch and municipalities who authorize us.

Colleagues,
Do you like getting calls from strangers asking for charity? I think it’s
dreadful and so do many others.

Mindy,
If you give them one cell phone then you are losing the advantage of a call
"center" as only one person can be calling at any one time and not multiple
callers calling on your behalf. A good call center will have multiple US
numbers (or other countries if you are calling other countries) and it will
show a landline from the country being called.

This technical problem is very easily solved. Simply buy a cheap cellphone and
a line, and send it to Bizphone for them to use. It will be your organization’s
cellphone number. If there are missed calls, they can send out texts. No one
will know it’s a call center. You also train their rep so they become part of
your team, with the advantage of you not having to recruit and employ them.
This type of work is often seasonal, and with outsourcing you only pay for a
block of hours as you need it. You will own the cellphone if you want to take
it back.

Thanks Mindy - very helpful. One concern that has been raised internally is
that if the calls are made come from a call center the phone number will be
blocked or ignored as many targets have been called before from the same
number. How have your answer rates been?
Thanks!

I use an excellent telemarketing company which sits in Haifa called Bizphone.
The contact person is Shirli Hochberg 0534312217.
The advantage is that you don’t need to employ someone with all that entails,
including high burnout and turnover.
You just pay by the hour, whenever you need it.
Highly recommended.
