The pull request is at https://github.com/itkach/tei2slob/pull/1 and the
author seems to be ok with the change. I've just made some changes he
requested, so I assume it will be merged soon.

You mixed up "build" and "release". The naming is slightly confusing.
"build" targets put files into the current working directory, where release
targets compile release archives into $(BUILD_DIR).


Since there is nothing to do after building a slob (in contrast to dict
files where the dict and index are compressed into a single archive),
Let me clarify this: *build* builds (and compresses) the dict files in the
current directory. Release builds tar archives in ../biild. And this is where
the naming clash is.

Should we do further discussions on this list, or should I open a pull
request and we'll discuss the changes there?
From today on, you have write permissions for the tools repository. Please move
your changes to a separate branch. I'll do my changes on master, potentially
adjust your integration and merge myself. Regarding the discussion, I'm
more of an email user, but I don't mind either way.
