Greetings all,

Just a brief note that the Dollar piston
pens from Pakistan are now back in stock in
all six 'flavors', and I've also received a
2nd order of the Camlin retractable pens from
India.

These sold so quickly that I had to place
a second order within a week...which has now
arrived.

The Camlin retractable fountain pen from
India is a conversation starter the moment
you take it out in public. The fun starts
when you remove the cap to
reveal....well....nothing! Not
unlike the
Monteverde DIVA in design, it's a bit more
conventional in it's appearance.

It's a slightly undersized pen that travels
easily in pocket, purse or organizer,
measuring 5" capped, 3-1/4" retracted, 4-1/2"
with nib extended, and a full 5-3/8" with the
cap posted.

The design of the pen hearkens back to the
turn of the last century, when safety
fountain pens with retractable nibs were all
the rage. Actual safety pens filled and
sealed quite differently, but the retracting
nib remains in the Camlin.

"Got the pen! LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!
P.S. The more I wander your site the more I
like it. :) "
M. R., Kokomo, IN

"Norm -- just as note to let you know I
received the burgundy Dollar pen and the
black ink. The pen exceeds my expectations
and lays ink to paper like a much more
expensive pen. Its writing quality matches
that of my more expensive pens: Pelikan,
Parker, Namiki, etc."
J. K., Evergreen Park, IL

"Hi Norman, today I received the Dollar pens
I ordered. What a great service: within one
week, carefully packed! Nothing can beat
this! I filled one of the pens with Private
Reserve Sonic Blue....it gives smooth, wet
lines and writing with this fountain pen is
just pleasure all the time. Thank you for the
nice note you enclosed and this marvelous
writing material. When world economies would
act the way you do, there wouldn't be a lack
of confidence!"
P. B., the Netherlands

If you ever wondered what was involved in
creating the yellow line in a football
broadcast, here's the answer. Unfortunately,
my pleas to the video center to move the line
a few inches went unheeded yesterday. My
beloved Giants will not repeat as World
Champions. (sniffle)

Another blog entry from January 12th is a
short video of two unusual Best Friends.
