'som' does run in a batch type mode... som -i<file_name> reads input commands from <file_name>. Output can then be redirected with the '>' character and it doesnt look for terminal stuff. The output is a bit scrambled, but I expect an 'nawk' program could sort out what you want. som -h prints out a short help menu. (I didn't try 'rsom'.) Good luck. William C. Ricker FeedForward, Inc.
