I use an adapter from Black Box Corporation, Code: ACD002, Item 13W3 Male
- HD15 F, Gender Changer.
Web site is <www.blackbox.com>

Works great. I connect to any VGA monitor (CRT or LCD) without a problem.

We have a NEC LCD1800 and a ViewSonic VG191 that work really well.

My main concern with an LCD display is if someone were to be holding a
permanent marker in their hand while pointing to a display. Will the
permanent marker leave a mark that won't come off?

Hi Ken,

We have replaced the standard Sony GDM20E01 monitors with NEC MultiSync =
LCD1830-BK. This is a black monitor, but you can get a white one as well.
=
You can find suppliers on the internet. The prices are dropping. I =
noticed you can get one now for around $875.00 or less.

The connector I used to connect the standard Foxboro cable to the new NEC
=
Flat Monitor was from L-com which can be found on the web at www.L-com.com
=
. The part number is CTL4CAR-1.5 (VGA Breakout Extension Cable - HD15M to
=
4 BNC Jacks).

This has worked well for us.

Hi list,

We have several Sparc 5 stations and X-terminals that we would like to
replace the monitors on.
If possible we would like to use standard monitors available almost
anywhere.
The problem is the BNC to RGB conversion. Has anyone had any experience
with this?
Could you steer towards a source for converters/cables?

thanks,
