Likewise, I suggect VNC.  Of the few verisons we have tried,
we have the best success with RealVNC.  We use this on an internal
10mhz network, and over dialup lines. It is used for both IA and
other UNIX and Windows applications.

That being said, one of our number prefers GoGlobal for the dialup
operations, so we employ both.

I haven't looked at the Casandra site script for VNC, but our
use on IA uses the options "-cc 3 -depth 8" with vncserver to
balance getting colors right with communications traffic on
dial up lines.
