These are the programs FoxTac pointed me to in the past, but they were
only there if you had Foxwatch installed.

Don't know about the V8 systems, but for 6 and 7 there was a pair of
programs,
'remd' and 'remv'which essentially provide a command line interface to
the
system
monitor. It isn't particularly fun, but scripts can be built around
these to

extract counter and status information.

These seem to have been installed by the FoxWatch software install, but
I've
never
seen any specific statement as to who has license to use it and who does
not.
Also, it was available in Quick Fixes for various platforms/versions.

Subject: [foxboro] System Counter Monitoring

List,
I am looking for suggestions on how to monitor all those system counters
that exist under the PERF tab on the System Management display. There
are a lot of counters there. More than you can routinely check on. I
was wondering if anyone had any tools or way to access these values and
then generate some kind of notification when one of them went out of
wack. We had a problem last year that was warned of by an increase in
MAC resets but nobody looked at this until the problem was upon us.
Knowing that this was increasing would have given us time to deal with
it before it rose to the level that plant operators saw a problem.
