The message is indicating a "read" error on the Informix partition.
This slice is a "raw data" partition "NOT" a "ufsdump" of a unix file
system (UFS). The Informix partition id "dd" to the tape.
As a test to verify there are some bad blocks on this partition
You can try the following and expect to see the same or similar error
message.
From the command line try:
# dd if=/dev/dsk/c0t0d0s5 of=/dev/null bs=128b
The backups of your UFS file systems may be fine.
You can check the integrity of those using the "ufsrestore" command.

Getting the following error during backup of AW51D. Has I/A ver 6.3
installed. Is my backup OK? Any help would be appreciated!!
