Martin,
The .pulldown files still work under windows. Just be sure to use right syntax.

in /usr/fox/config edit the .pulldown file.
Standard it is looking like this;
Control_Cfg    -p 100
Display_Build    -p 100
Display_Cfg    -p 100
DispAlarmCfg    -p 100
DspConventions    -p 100
Font_Edit    -p 100
FoxDraw        -p 100
FoxPanelsCfg    -p 100
Historian    -p 100
......

The right mouse button click can be protected via the
/opt/customer/env/disp_eng.mnu file;
COMMAND -label "Open with FoxDraw" -cmd "run \opt\fox\wp\FoxDraw\foxdraw
$SELDISP -fvname $DMNAME" -p 100,101
SEPARATOR
COMMAND -label "Moveable" -cmd "ov_switch -move" -enable stat
COMMAND -label "Stationary" -cmd "ov_switch -stat" -enable move
SEPARATOR
COMMAND -label "Close" -cmd "close"

Simply modify the -p acces level values.
FoxDraw can not be run in read only mode.

Alex & Co.,
Well I gave it a try and then involved GCS.  The net result is that
currently, in FoxView, we cannot use '.pulldown' files to protect access
to Environments like we can with Display Manager.  GCS have suggested that
we raise a PER if we want this feature to be considered for a future
release.

Alex,
I should really try this but I'll ask instead, on MS Windows boxes, can
you make use of a '.pulldown' file in the directory that holds the
environment files for FoxView?  The idea would be to prevent some
environments from being selected from others.
