We also have CP60's (3.30/OP)and FCM10e (1.16/OK)(and a couple of ef's)
and we experienced the same errors as you did. Our i/o's are +/- 130m
from the CP's and we still used coax. Changing coax to Fibre took care
of most of the errors. If you are already using fibre (I suppose you are
because you have FCM10EF's) and you always have the errors on the same
bus you might want to change the fibre patchcable, or if you have FT
FCM's you could try swapping the FCM from the problem bus with an FCM
that does not cause problems. If the errors move to the other FCM,
you've found the origin of the errors.
I suppose the CP60 was not one of Foxboro's most reliable processors,
we've had problems with them from the start, I think they've all been
exchanged for newer revisions about 3 times by now. We're planning on
upgrading to ZCP270's if and when I ever get a price quote from Foxboro
(applied for a quote in febr, still haven't received any quotes yet....)

Good luck

Rgds,

Subject: [foxboro] PIO bus errors - SYSMON messages

Good Day

I have an installation - AW70 - XP with Foxboro Version 7.0 with CP60's
and FCM10ef's.
We are experiencing excessive PIO bus errors from four of the CP's

I have implemented the recommendations of the "SA2005064I - QF1007465b"
and all FCM's are on software revision 1.16.

I have monitored the PIOE1R, PIOEFT, PIOEGB parameters using the
"all-pio-read" and "all-pio-reset" scripts and have not recoreded
any
errors on the problematic CP's.

The System Monitor still records messages with PIO bus falures and
errors
for these CP's.

What am I not getting?
What is the System Monitor monitoring?
What else can I look at?

Any ideas and help would be appreciated.

Thanks
