Corey,
To my knowledge Foxboro hasn't done this but my point was that
$PICK1 or $PICK2 are variables that they created and control and they
could change them. In one of the releases they changed the default
color palette, (I think between version 3 and version 4), and we had to
modify all of our graphics or create our own custom color palette to
match the old one. The usr markers have also undergone changes in past
releases. The point I'm making is that they can change their stuff to
meet their needs with no warning. =20
We tried to decipher all of the magic behind $PICK1 and $PICK2
and how and when they were initialized and finally decided that it was
best to create our own variables to insure that a Foxboro change in that
functionality wouldn't break what we were trying to do with our generic
overlays. I'm sure that there would be an uproar if they made a
significant change to $PICK1 because it is so heavily used by Foxboro
and users alike.
Tom

"On our generic block overlays we eliminated the use of $PICK1
and $PICK2 and created our own variables because it was impossible to
predict what Foxboro was doing, (or might do in the future), with
$PICK1/2 which are their dedicated variables."

Tom, can you elaborate? Has Foxboro ever done anything that changed the

behavior of $PICK1 after you pick something that has "=3D PICK1
CMPD:BLOCK"=20
attached to it?

Thanks,
