PAS does it in the way you describe. They have a (pretty ugly) script that parses the almhist file periodically, and a cron job uploads the results to their server for import (I've replaced theirs with my own to minimize system loading). I think Logmate can import alarm data from a text file, so it should be doable. They want to hook up to my AWs via the serial ports and collect the alarms in realtime by emulating a line printer. I would prefer to just have them parse the alarm history file which can be collected on a scheduled basis via the 2nd ethernet cards in my AWs. has anyone used logmate in that way? _______________________________________________________________________ This mailing list is neither sponsored nor endorsed by Invensys Process Systems (formerly The Foxboro Company).
