I may have missed it but so far I don't think anyone has mentioned Netscape 
for a browser.  It is a free application with a fairly straightforward 
installation and is highly configurable under Solaris.  I was using Netscape 
for our operators SOP's at PPG before I left and it was doing a very good 
job.

I haven't done this, but I would expect Firefox to be on SunFreeware.
