Hi Alex,

I checked the maxien before when we ran into some problems with PI. Now
that you mentioned it I checked my PI lists again using the result of the
foxspy 913 command and found 4 lists containing more than 255 entries. I
also found a lot of lists containing very few entries. Allthough it seems
to work fine with more than 255 entries, I'll reorganize some lists so that
the number of entries drops below 255 and the number of lists/datasets
should drop also.

I noticed batchsuite is using dataset 25, which has 2500+ entries in it. Is
this a problem? If it is, is there a way to split the entries in BatchSuite
into multiple datasets?

Thanks & Rgds,

Dirk,

You have another degree of freedom beside maxds. You can also increase
the number of items in a dataset. The default is the maximum, but I've
seen systems where it is set lower in foxapi.cfg.

The following comes from B0193UD-C, the FoxAPI User's Guide:

maxds
The maximum number of datasets. The default is 100.
The range is 3 to 1000.
maxien
The maximum number of entries in an Object Manager list.
The default is 255. The range is 50 to 255.
