Hi Ali,
Based on your description that you restore a mirrored AW setup to a single
one, you should check the following :
- Put the install CD into your new system and boot it from disk,
next mount the root path of your restored disk
e.g. : mkdir /tmp/root, mount -Fhsfs /dev/dsk/c01t0d0s0 /tmp/root or
something similar (execute format to determine the disk number)
cd /tmp/root/etc
vi system (unmark the mirror lines at the end)
vi vfstab (modify all references to your mirror disk items and replace them
with the fysical disk layout (/dev/dsk/c0t0d0sX mounts)
Execute an fsck to each of your partitions
Next reboot from your hard-disk
If this does not work check your eeprom settings

Hi All,
Is there any issue of host id if a tape backup of one AW51E is restored to
another AW51E having same hard disk size.
We are trying to restore a tape backup of AW51E (having two mirrored 18.2
GB hard disks) on another AW51E having single 18.2GB hard disk. The system
completes the restore successfully but on reboot it goes into reboot cycle.
Do anyone has experienced such problem before? Kindly share your experience.
