In FoxDraw ,look at the display properties and look at the complexity index.
I don't think there is any magic to that index, but from experience a number
beyond 2.0 is considered an intense display.
Use of library objects and even some graphic elements, start to approach the
"web" page thinking.
The more dense a web page the longer the callup.
Displays fit a similar model.
Also in properties is the scan rate and scan delay times, which are user
entered.
Or if the Fast Scan Option is checked....the cP BPC is used.

Dear List,
In an effort to streamline the FoxView display building process for a large
project, we've been experimenting with using library objects for all the
symbols (eg: pida, ain, gdev valves, motors, etc). This works great as you can
define all of the behaviour in the .m1 files and then just drop the object and
configure the aliases while enforcing the graphics standards to be followed.
The problem that we're struggling with is that the display call up times are
prohibitively long. I have run tests with setting up a display using both
methods and all the same C:B.P. The call up time for a display without library
objects is < 0.5 sec, where as with the library objects it's over 3 seconds.
This may sound short, but in actual usage, it is unbearable.
I've tested at IA 8.5 as well as IA 9.2 with FV 10.4.2 QF1269588
Any ideas or comments would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
