I think the intention of the /opt partition was for users to place their 
displays, applications, etc in that area as there was more space.  This 
came about when the 50 series was introduced if I remember correctly.

Have always used /usr for displays and overlays ...... haven't noticed any
problems. Anyone know why we shouldn't?

Check partion sizes , /opt is probably much larger than /usr=20

Does anybody in the list know why Foxboro changed the partition where =
the user graphics could be placed? Before was the /usr partition and now =
is the /opt partition. Is there any document that talks about this? I =
was seeing the B0193MQ - Rev J (Display Engineering for FoxView Software =
and Display Manager Software) and I found on page 48 that the default =
partition where FoxView starts searching is in /opt. Thank in advance.
