Russ, Reference the old e-mail thread below... I see a similar situation with FoxSelect at this plant but with a weird twist on all of the AWs, except the CSA and CP host AW; it's the only one working correctly. Just 4 CPs and they show up in the FoxSelect list but... CP1 has CP4 Compounds listed, CP2 and CP3 Compounds look OK (I guess?), but cannot even open CP4. I checked all of the files you referenced below (/etc/wpcplns & cplns, /etc/fox/wpcplns & cplns) and they list the 4 CPs. Just to make sure I copied each file from the host AW to a non-host AW and no help. Also, it takes 10-20 seconds to call up a list of the Blocks in a Compound, and another 10-20 seconds to call up a Block Detail Display. Any ideas? Joseph M. Have the following situation was hoping to resolve. We have a small offline system consisting of 8 AWs that has not been used for a long time. Each AW is hosting a small number of CPs (FCP270s). When launching a FoxSelect on each AW, one would see different set of CPs available in FoxSelect (depending on which AW they launch it from). Similar effect is observed when using ICC. The possibilities we are currently speculating on are: 1) different SysDefs were used to commit each AW. 2) a CSA conflict is observed within the system (more than 1 active CSA server). The system is an IA 8.4 with WindowsXP and FCP270s. What would you suggest to look at in order to detect and rectify the root cause. Any insight will be appreciated. Regards, Ilya Maizlin. _______________________________________________________________________ This mailing list is neither sponsored nor endorsed by Invensys Process Systems (formerly The Foxboro Company).
