Philip, Do you know where the file FOX_BTTNS_LOCK (FV) is located? Perhaps I could edit the Protection class for the buttons instead of all the individual parameters of the AIN_01, etc graphics. -James -----Original Message----- From: foxboro-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:foxboro-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Pulas, Philip Sent: Friday, June 18, 2010 1:47 PM To: 'foxboro@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: Re: [foxboro] Detail Display access/protection James, We have also used a script to protect the detail displays. Just to answer your question about the tool bar at the bottom of the AIN display, the object FOX_BTTNS_LOCK (FV) is a group of a bunch of other groups of rectangles, polylines, polygons, etc. Some rectangles and one background text named rampvalue have the actions configured (where you would change the default Protection ID from 0 to something). I didn't check the DM version, but it is probably similar. We're running both Display Manager and Foxview. My first thought was to set the Protection class on several buttons that make up the tool bar located on the bottom of the displays. It looks as if the tool bar for an AIN is a library object named BTTNS_LOCK (DM) and FOX_BTTNS_LOCK (FV) but, I can't find it's file location. 1. Is this a practical method? 2. Where's the location of these files? 3. Does anyone have a better idea? -James _______________________________________________________________________ This mailing list is neither sponsored nor endorsed by Invensys Process Systems (formerly The Foxboro Company).
