Stan, Thanks for the suggestion. My relationship with IT is probably as good = as it can be for a process control guy. Actually we have already = discussed the idea of DHCP supplying a specific IP address based on the = MAC address of the PC. The IT folks are concerned about having to = update the table if a PC is changed, but said they would consider this = if there is "no other way". DHCP does _not_ imply non static addresses unequivacly.
