I'm using DHCP with a modified script.  It has been working great for us.

Well, one possibility (if you have good relations with your IT group), is
to
have there DHCP server supply fixed addresses for the PC's that need
remote
DM access. DHCP does _not_ imply non static addresses unequivacly. It's
actually quite flexible (at least the none MS servers I'm familiar with,
and
I would hope that MS's works as well).
