Thinking about historian instances, on Solaris systems the names were case sensitive. Is this still the case on Windows XP and Server 2003 based systems? DevMon disables "dead" WPs/AWs, but it has not impact on any other alarm destination, e.g., a Historian that is turned off, FoxPage, or a misspelled target. In these cases, the CP will retry each time it needs to send a message to that destination.
