Russ,

I did verify that we don't have any duplicated dmcmd blocks, we do have several
buttons that point to the same display to open.

I didn't receive any messages on reboot but during testing, when generating an
alarm I got the following messages on the CAD:

1) The Alarm Manager is automatically refreshing all active displays
because the Alarm Alert Task has restarted. The alarm database was not
recovered.
2) The alarm manager is unable to obtain new alarms because the alarm
alert task has failed.

I haven't figured this issue out yet.

If that was the problem...when machine boots up....you would see messages in
the FoxView message bar...

This should happen within seconds....there is a configuration problem with your
setup.
While you can thousands of entries on a given annunciator keyboard...all
entries must be unique ....meaning no two keys can have same alarm entry...

AAtab file is for alarming
AApan file is for displays

These are separate entities.

When you say scripts...what do you mean?

Subject: [foxboro] Annunciator Keyboard Slow Response

List,

We are installing an annunciator keyboard for the first time and I have a
question related to the slow response time on opening a configured display.

On a few of the buttons, we have configured numerous STATE and REALM alarms to
light the LED and acknowledge the alarm. In one particular case, it takes
almost 6 minutes to open the designated display. On the button where only two
alarms are configured, it takes about 6 seconds.

Is there any way to speed this up or is this just a limitation based on the
running scripts? Seems kind of useless this way.

Any advice would be appreciated.
