Im not aware that for V8.8 you cant put a serial printer in Sysdef. Up until 
8.5 you could.
Ive set it up almost the same way you have it. Just set a serial printer in one 
of the AWs, configure the COM port, and this device you put it in the alarm 
groups and OAJ. then connect through serial port your "printer" box. It has 
worked quite well. 

Foxboro actually sells a software called Alarms Online, which does what you are 
doing, and is a matter of installing it in a windows station.

Again I'll doubke check if this works for 8.8.

Foxray can get the "ASCII" data, not in realtime, but a delay of few
minutes is good for us, for now.
