Ron, I forget to tell that I have Solaris box with FoxView. What I did so far
is the following:

1. I created a file in /usr/fox/config called AIM_Historian with this code:

dmcmd script
getenv DM_DISPLAY p7
applic /opt/aim/myfiles/histmgr.run $p7 >/dev/null &

2. Then, I created a file named histmgr.run in /opt/aim/myfiles with these
lines:

INSTALLDIR=`head -1 /etc/aim/Historian`
if ["$INSTALLDIR"=""];then
        INSTALLDIR=`echo /opt/aim`
fi
#
DISPLAY=${1}
HOME=/
PATH=$PATH:$INSTALLDIR/bin
WUHOME=/opt/windu
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/windu/lib:/usr/dt/lib:/usr/openwin/lib
export DISPLAY HOME WUHOME PATH LD_LIBRARY_PATH
#
/bin/nohup $INSTALLDIR/bin/histmgr >/dev/null 2>&1 &

Finally, I open a remote session with Exceed in this AW and I try to open the
AIM Historian Manager by clicking on the menu pick named AIM_Historian and the
window does not show some contents (menu buttons and the left part of the
windows are totally black)

Try making a file call AimHistorian in \usr\fox\config
Put these lines in that file.
dmcmd script
dmcmd run C:\Program Files\aim\common\HistMgr

Then change environment back to softeng env.
