Folks, this is not about what Kanter is proposing to do in Broward County; this
is about the application to do seismic testing in Big Cypress. Please see
below...

| Save Big Cypress National Preserve -- and the endangered Florida panther --
From Reckless New Fracking!

Tell the National Park Service to protect Florida's Big Cypress National
Preserve and the Everglades from Big Oil's dangerous new fracking plans.

| TAKE ACTION |

|

|

Dear Michelle,

Big Oil and its reckless rush to expand fracking and oil drilling anywhere
they can get away with it just found a new target: Florida's Big Cypress
National Preserve.

Right now, the National Park Service is deciding whether to approve risky new
plans to explore for oil and gas in preparation for fracking in the heart of
this irreplaceable wildland -- home to nine endangered species, including the
rare Florida panther. And Big Cypress sits right on the border of the
Everglades, feeding it clean water through a vibrant tapestry of five
interconnected ecosystems.

As a Florida resident, I'm sure you agree: We can't let them frack it. Will you
tell that to the National Park Service?

Urge the National Park Service to halt Big Oil's fracking plans and protect Big
Cypress.

Please act fast, since there are just a few days left for us to speak out in
opposition to this disastrous proposal.

If approved, the plan would throw open the door to oil and gas companies intent
on drilling in the Preserve at any cost. And the environmental destruction
would start immediately.

To find the best place to drill, these oil giants will conduct dangerous
seismic testing that'll leave a trail of destruction in its wake -- wiping out
vast swaths of trees and local flora, disturbing sensitive wildlife habitat and
sending heavy trucks, off-road vehicles and even helicopters rumbling through
more than 70,000 acres of this pristine environment.

One thing is clear: it's up to us to stop this out-of-control fracking plan.
And we're calling on dedicated NRDC supporters like you to help us mobilize a
massive public outcry that will spur the Park Service to action.

Speak out now: Demand the Park Service stop Big Oil's advance toward the iconic
Everglades and assess the true risks of fracking in Big Cypress National
Preserve.

We cannot sacrifice yet another one of America's most cherished wild places for
more climate-wrecking fossil fuels. We must protect our few remaining wild
areas and double down on a clean energy future.

Let's shut down Big Oil's greedy fracking plans now, before their trucks roll
one inch into Big Cypress and its imperiled wildlife. Please add your voice
today.

Thanks for speaking out,

Rhea Suh
President, NRDC
