Firing blanks before I got out of 8th grade. Mumps that descended,
resulting in chicken egg-sized gonads. Very painful. Was my 10 on a scale
of 1 to 10 until I got my thumb hung in a table saw in 1983. Throw in the
equivalent of 5 rounds of chemo in one round for colon cancer. If there
were any wigglers hiding in the jungle, that did them in.
The thumb pain is now only 4th on my all-time pain list following
pancreatitis at 1, a lemon-sized appendix trying to blow at 2, and passing
gallstones at #3
