That was kind of my situation. I couldn't see myself carrying a gun, so
I enlisted in the Air Force. Worked out too. The closest I got was a
stunt in the munitions (bomb dump) squadron, my last year in South
Korea. I also felt fortunate as I did not see duty in Vietnam either.
Good fortune has indeed smiled on me as I have attained the ripe old age
of 75.
