Have not read or heard about comments, but I also don't actively participate on
Facebook.
As first on the scene from the FHCR team, I can assure you I had no time to
talk to anyone about the speculation of what happened. Nor at anytime
afterwards, did I hear anything mentioned.
My response to the public asking... was it was a tragic accident and it was
already being reported on the news. They would be able to get details there, I
was not at liberty to comment.
I'm pretty positive that's what I heard being said by other members.
Bystanders had a lot to say, but I didn't have the time to discuss and nor did
I want to enter into a discussion. I had some very traumatic witnesses to deal
with. It was a horrendous scene and I was so grateful to see Wendy approaching
... She was like my little guardian angel. And then to see the rest of the
team was amazing.
Judgement can not be made on anyone. I realize this young man struck four
people and killed at least three of them. But we have no idea about the
circumstances as to why. But he did jump out of his car immediately to assist.
So it could be a malfunction of the vehicle, we don't know. We're only there
to help anyone who needs us... Not to pass judgment.
I wanted to go to the driver, and mentioned this so one of our members ...
but we thought it was inappropriate to approach.
I feel confident that we all performed professionally and did the best thing
possible under the circumstances.
Be proud of what you did today! I know I am....
Hugs,
Bobbi

It is very disheartening to hear that people are posting terrible comments-
are they about the crisis team? I hope it is not speculation about the young
man and I hope they are not about us- the investigation is on-going and it
even said that on the news- there are no confirmations as to cause and the
crisis team was given no information whatsoever and all of us in the crisis
team understand that even if we heard anything that it is to be kept
confidential. There was probably speculation/chatter among the bystanders and
very unfortunately for us that grew into a confirmation story.
Keeping the victims and also this young man in prayer.

Hey Gary, did you respond to that post? I don’t think anyone in our group
told anyone that story. There might have been speculation , but we were not
told anything about that young man.
I just hate all the terrible comments people are posting. Grrrrr!

Fountain Hills Connection has a facook Post saying the horrific accident this
morning was caused by a 20 year old texting. The statement reads:
Just wanted to correct myself that it was a crisis team member that confirmed
he was texting and driving. Not a first responders opinion.
This is a direct no no and I hope not correct.

I would like to thank everyone who responded to this horrific accident. I'm
surprised that we were not summoned to the hospital with the other two
victims but we weren't This was our first group call, which went fairly well.
If any of us were traumatised by this call please adhere to what Gary stated.
