Hey friends,
I thought I might chime in a bit on this. First, it’s awesome to be a part of
such a great team! It sounds like everyone did a great job and helped as
needed.
Does everyone remember the man who was killed a couple of months ago on Laser
dr? There was crazy news coverage and posts all over FH connections, much like
this story. There was all sorts of speculation! Drugs, murder, gun shots,
beating, theft etc. everyone knew someone that knew someone that was there that
saw the body or spoke to someone that saw the body.
I knew that guy and the man who was involved. Speculation is ALWAYS just that.
Unless we were that 27 year old man driving that car, nobody knows.
When we go out on calls we are there to do a job. Let’s not forget that. We
keep calm, we take in information and we provide support to those that need it.
Don’t worry about FH connections. It’s good for initial information but gets
out of control in a lot of ways. You all did your jobs and sounds like you did
them well!
On a side note, Tom, just making sure you have the right phone number for me
602-737-7425.

Linda thank you for that because we need it. A lot of us are worried by what
people have said about the crisis team not in a good way. I'm telling all of
you now, that what we do with the witnesses or people who are distressed is
amazing and we all should be proud. That blanket, the teddy bear for the
child, the chairs for the witness to sit in the shade, water, food and
transportation. This is what we are about, stop worrying about what was said
in the Fountain Hills connection. Let me worry about it, and if I said
something to someone that displeased them, I'll take the blame. Keep doing
what your doing, it means a lot. Thank you, Tom.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to let you know that yesterday at the accident a
doctor that works with me was at the scene when the accident occurred and was
first to respond to the victims. It was so emotional for him that he
couldn’t even see patients afterward. He came into my office today and
without knowing I’m part of the FHCR said to me there were the most amazing
people at the scene from a Fountain Hills Crisis Team and I couldn’t believe
how wonderful they were. Helping out with a grandparent in a car whose
grandchildren saw the accident and comforting everyone and they were just
wonderful! Kudos to you all and great job. I wanted to share and let you
hear a perspective from someone who had no idea this group existed.

I am sorry I don’t understand all of this !!!! I was watching the 8 pm news

It is very disheartening to hear that people are posting terrible comments-
are they about the crisis team? I hope it is not speculation about the
young man and I hope they are not about us- the investigation is on-going
and it even said that on the news- there are no confirmations as to cause
and the crisis team was given no information whatsoever and all of us in
the crisis team understand that even if we heard anything that it is to be
kept confidential. There was probably speculation/chatter among the
bystanders and very unfortunately for us that grew into a confirmation
story.
Keeping the victims and also this young man in prayer.

Hey Gary, did you respond to that post? I don’t think anyone in our group
told anyone that story. There might have been speculation , but we were not
told anything about that young man.
I just hate all the terrible comments people are posting. Grrrrr!

Fountain Hills Connection has a facook Post saying the horrific accident
this morning was caused by a 20 year old texting. The statement reads:
Just wanted to correct myself that it was a crisis team member that
confirmed he was texting and driving. Not a first responders opinion.
This is a direct no no and I hope not correct.

I would like to thank everyone who responded to this horrific accident. I'm
surprised that we were not summoned to the hospital with the other two
victims but we weren't This was our first group call, which went fairly
well. If any of us were traumatised by this call please adhere to what Gary
stated. Thanks again, stay safe always be aware of your surroundings, don't
take anything for granted. Life is precious and sometimes short and could
be taken from us in a blink of an eye. God Bless all of you and I hope he
keeps you safe and healthy. Tom
