Joanne, hoping your feeling Ok. Thinking of you for Speedy Recovery. Don’t
ever feel your alone. We have a team of about 33 members and any time you
feel you need assistance or someone to help or assist you please let Tom,
Viree or Gary know. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the opportunity to meet
our newest team members yet, but I’m sure they are willing to assist. I
left Carolyn off as she is dealing with her health situation. Same of
course goes for her.
No task is to difficult for our team. We have support wherever it is
needed. That’s what we are all about. Roger, thanks for your visit while I
was in rehab. Physical Therapy. Joanne and Martha thanks for your kind
words. Viree sent a card from the team. Thanks all. Update, I finished
Chemo this past Tuesday. I have to wait 6 weeks and then have a Pet Scan
done to see if the Tumor has shrunk or gone. I’m starting to get strength
and balance back. Thank you all for your understanding and Tom your the
best.

I told you my daughter and I hiked there when she was here, not a long
hike but very diverse. It lets you know something happened in FH a long
time ago when you see the hills and even the dam.
I volunteered for the museum some time ago, and I read in the history,
the cowboys brought the cattle down to drink by the dam. I went off the
trail “don’t tell anyone” looking for the area where they drove the cattle
down, I found some barbed wire down along below the dam. I thought this is
history, part of the old P Bar Ranch. I didn’t want to just take it, it
was part of an old fence. So, I went to City Hall and asked for the Park
Director. I told him, “I am from the museum and would like to take some of
the old barb wire and put it in the cowboy exhibit at the museum. “ He
looked at me like I was a little crazy and “Ma am, take anything you want!”
I went down with a wire cutter and cut out a section and when I was trying
to put it in a roll, I cut my hand. I couldn’t remember when the last time
I had a tetanus shot, so I called over to FH Family Practice, they told me
to come right down and gave me a shot.
I appreciate all the work volunteers like you and the garden club do to
keep it open. Like I said, when you see the holes in the rocks and the
huge pieces of quartz, you know something happened a long time ago.
Keep up the good work but stay away from the barb wire.
