Apple tends to launch its latest iPhone devices in September and this year
looks set to be no exception.
An internal Vodafone email obtained by Mobile News claims that the next handset
will simply be known as the 'New iPhone' - instead of the iPhone 6S or the
iPhone 7 - and will be available from September 25.

Those interested in getting hold of the flagship will apparently be able to
pre-order a week before on September 18.

However, the pre-launch information doesn't give any details about the
potential for a follow-up iPhone 6 Plus phablet model.

As ever with tight-lipped Apple, nothing has been confirmed about any future
iPhones, nor their existence.

The most recent speculation suggests that the upcoming device (or devices) will
make the jump to 12-megapixel cameras.

Does the iPhone camera need a megapixel boost?

Previous reports also claim that the next iPhone(s) will be made from the same
aluminium alloy as the Apple Watch Sport, making it up to 60% stronger than its
predecessor.

Apple has also been tipped to bring the wearable's Force Touch display
technology, which enables a device to distinguish between a brief tap and a
longer press, to the handset.
