Happy birthday for me (I am now 21!) My gift? A new version of FaxCenter fo= r you. This release is long overdue, and I finally fixed up the last outstanding bugs in the beta. Whats new and changed: =80 Fixed the bug when attempting to reset FaxCenter (using the reset button) =80 Fixed the bug where FaxCenter would crash after sending from the watch folder =80 Fixed the bug where FaxCenter would not grab all of the digits from the name of the file from the watch folder =80 Fixed the bug when stopping the watch folder in the preferences =80 Fixed a potential loop where if you had autoprint selected, but no printe= r chosen =80 Fixed the bug of blank "+ translation" field in the preferences =80 Fixed the bug where you potentially couldn't send after receiving a fax =80 Fixed manual receive to once again work properly =80 Fixed ignore dial tone check box, so now it changes the init string for proper functionality =80 Changed how the fax browser populates, so now it "scans" the receive/sent folder =80 Added printing of FAD records =80 Added contextual menus to the fax queue window A few items of note. First, because of the change to the way the fax browse= r works, it no longer uses a database. Because of this, I had to come up with a different means of "knowing" the phone number for a sent or received fax. What I have done is add to the file name the phone number after a special character (in this case the #). So a newly sent or received fax will have a file name like: FaxCenter Manual#555-1234.pdf And the number will then correctly show in the fax browser. If you want to update your fax files, feel free to change their names either in the fax browser or the Finder. It will pick up whatever you enter (you may need to switch the view of the fax browser for the pane to update). Lastly, the watch folder feature still has an issue (it has to do with some NSTimer code I am having an issue with), so at this time it is disabled. I am working on getting this fixed as soon as I can. So go get it at http://www.macadvocacy.com/faxcenter.htm Thanks, Ben http://www.shayufilms.com
