Hey folks, I want to share a tidbit of wisdom from one of our 6th graders. She
said it was her favorite quote!

"Everything will be ok in the end. If it's not ok, it's not the end!"

Subject: [familyschool] upcoming activities

1. School Board Meeting Tuesday at 5:30 in Mel's room at school.
We have a spot on the agenda for two parents to present our views - Shawn
Stibbins & Jess Sundin will do that. The presentation will be based on the
unity letter that many of you have signed, and will be responsive to whatever
the action the Board takes. Those who want to coordinate outfits will wear
black. Someone might bring flowers - we are feeling hopeful. After the meeting,
those parents present will check in about any need for immediate action and/or
prepare to report back to others.

2. Love fest Sunday at 2pm at Powderhorn Park (near the park building)
The invite already came over email to this list, and the committee is working
to make sure the entire community gets invited. We'll also receive requests for
food, and Gwyneth will coordinate rides for those who need them (be prepared to
volunteer).

3. Next meeting *TENATIVE* Monday at 7pm at 4200 Cedar
Day and location are still being confirmed, (we might switch to Tuesday). Watch
your email for the final plan. This meeting will happen regardless of the
outcome of tomorrow's board meeting - we'll either be planning next steps to
resolve this crisis, or planning next steps to rebuild and strength family
school. Either way, plenty to do and we're all committed to it!

Adelante!
Jess the short

P.S. To those who couldn't come. Please know that we missed you. Many positive
things were said about the work that everyone has been doing. Thank you all!
