Public Folder Migration

I am about to migrate an existing public folder structure from a 5.5
server to a 2k server. The current public folder setup has in excess of
700 folders, many of which have multiple email addresses and recieve mail
based on rules set up on the 5.5 server. Just to complicate matters
further, the 2k and 5.5 servers are in different domains ( 5.5 in NT
domain, 2k in win2k domain) and different exchange organisations.
Is there any way, other than brute force, to migrate these public folders
and retain their properties.
Any help would be appreciated.
