We specifically implemented the F/w due to the experience with the
LuvSAN virus which knocked us out of business for a whole day. Since we
are a 2500 user shop with especially a lot of mobile users, we really
wanted to implement the f/w. Also when it comes to security our auditors
are very picky.

If you are using Windows XP Professional in a corporate environment, you
should have the firewall disabled as that will interfere with a lot of
domain things.
