Hi,
Here is how to swap your two Servers:
Prepare the new server with the same partition with different name;
Install the same OS, SPs, and patches.
Prepare the exchange database backup from the old server (you can
perform the backup as a file the target (new) Server).
Remove the old one from the network.
Rename the new server with the old server name.
Install Exchange 2000 with /disasterrecovery
Install SPs, Hotfixes same as the old one.
Restore the database to the new server.
Mount the database.
