http://www.msexchange.org -------------------------------------------------------Hello Supreet, 1. Make sure your MX record is the public IP of your mail server and not ISP's DNS. If your ISP hosts your DNS for you, you can ask them to make this change, they will be more than happy to assist you. If you host your DNS server, you will need to make this change. 2. Ensure that your Exchange is advertising as the FQDN of your domain when advertising HELO during SMTP transaction. 1. Open Exchagne System Manager. Navigate to Administrative Groups, Site, Servers, Servername, Protocols, SMTP, Default SMTP Virtual Server, 2. Highlight Default SMTP Virtual Server, right click properties. 3. Go to the Delivery Tab, and click Advanced Button. 4. In the "Fully-qualified domain name: field, enter your fully qualified external domain name of your server for example mail.yourdomain.com Click Check DNS to verify that it resolves. 5. Restart SMTP service. If anything is unclear please ask. -----Original Message----- From: exchangelist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:exchangelist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Supreet Singh Sent: Monday, September 11, 2006 8:57 AM To: exchangelist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [ExchangeList] Re: Mail Sending problem to some domains, Urgent help needed http://www.msexchange.org -------------------------------------------------------Hi janes I am posting here the errors of dnsreport.com. Please have a look and suggest if there is any problem with the configuration. WARN Mail server host name in greeting WARNING: One or more of your mailservers is claiming to be a host other than what it really is (the SMTP greeting should be a 3-digit code, followed by a space or a dash, then the host name). If your mailserver sends out E-mail using this domain in its EHLO or HELO, your E-mail might get blocked by anti-spam software. This is also a technical violation of RFC821 4.3 (and RFC2821 4.3.1). Note that the hostname given in the SMTP greeting should have an A record pointing back to the same server. Note that this one test may use a cached DNS record. mail.mydomain.org claims to be host mail.myisp.com [but that host is at 11.11.11.11 (may be cached), not 22.22.22.22]. our MX is pointing towards (22.22.22.22 ), which is the IP of ur ISP. As we have taken some storage space from them. --- ChongJa@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx wrote: > http://www.msexchange.org > -------------------------------------------------------Can > you enter your domain name in dnsreport.com and post > any errors it reports?
